Project Description

Wabli is a research project that refers to the design and development of a low-code platform which facilitates the software development process providing innovative solutions on the following axes:

  • Formulate user requiements and software specifications.
  • Automated code generation based on the designed prototype.
  • Continuous quality monitoring and targeted recommendations for maintainability improvements.
  • Support the evolution of the application under design.

  • The duration of the project is 24 months

    Partners

  • VILABS OE
  • Κυκλική Βελτιστοποιητική ΙΚΕ - Cyclopt
  • Project Budget

    482,217.50€ (Cyclopt: 242,180.00€)

    Project Goals

  • Provision of a low-code platform that enables reducing the required effort for producing softwaqre and thus minimize the software development cost.
  • Investingate inovate ways towards the formulation of software user requiements and prototypes.
  • Research on applied automated software engineering in order to enable automated prototyping.
  • Application of innovative methodologies towards evauating the quality characteristics of the produced software.
  • Apply the constructed methodology in practice for developing real-life software projects. This process involves at least 20 pilot cases that will use the WABLI platform for developing their applications and thus evaluate the proposed approach.
  • Expected Results

The WABLI platform offers a series of solutions that primarily target at software engineers who work either as independents or as part of a software development team. This originates from the fact that software development requires being always up-to-date and continuously evolve based on the latest software engineering principles.

The benefits of software engineers can be summarized in the following axes:

  • Reduction of the required time and effort for producing new products that involve software development.
  • Reduction of the software development and maintenace costs.
  • Significant and measured productivity increase throughout the software development lifecycle.
